Ezic has fallen into a state of civil war. Citizens fed-up with foreign occupation, a corrupt government and other social problems have taken up arms with the new, strong ENLA (Ezic National Liberation Army) whom have taken the world by storm by seizing large amounts of land in a lighting offensive against both the armed forces of Ezic, Franquebec and Talamh Dair. Their occupation seems to have come to a grinding halt though, with the recent deployment of Talamh Dair Land Forces and Air Services in Northern Ezic and the reinforcement of Franquebecois soldiers to their border with Ezic along with the quickening organization of both these forces, however, the ENLA is far from defeated or deterred as they launch brutal offensives against legal territories held by Talamh Dair, Ezic and Franquebec. Fighting is heavy and shows no sign of slowing down, in some areas it is a stalemate with nothing holding back these forces from tearing eachother apart. (Quick OOC note from the map, I've highlighted objectives that, realistically the intelligence services of both Franquebec and Talamh Dair would've found by now. You may choose which one you assault, but it will have to be together. In short, no picking different objectives per-person. Also, to join in on this conflict you have to have a proper reason for intervention and you must have military access. Due to Huy Dang's neglect of The Republic of Ezic, either me or Cube will be doing the actions for their armed forces.) The situation:
 The border force of Franquebec has held their own against the offensive, but it has not stopped the ENLA from pushing in to Franquebec territory in Western Ezic. Though these lands are not-yet occupied by the ENLA, they see some of the heaviest and brutal fighting. Meanwhile, in Northern Ezic, the de-facto capital of the ENLA (a populace and bustling city) has come under brutal air attacks by the Talamh Dair Air Service, and the contested zones are almost as brutal in fighting as the contest zones in Franquebec Ezic. In the West and central provinces of Ezic, the contested zones aren't really contested at all. The Armed Forces of Ezic and the ENLA seem to be at a stalemate. The Ezic Armed Forces are yet to launch an offensive, due to lack of leadership, organization and morale. (If you are confused about the map, just ask me. And on a final note, I have to ask that superpowers don't intervene in this.) |

The Parliamentary Monarchy of Franquebec

As the Ayuinid Convention has come to a close, Prime Minister Alexandre Toutont returns to Franquebec and reads out his speech in a congregation of parliament.
"We are not here to discuss military action against the communist rebellion..." says the Prime Minister, referring to the self-proclaimed Ezic National Liberation Army, and capitalizing on his control over the Franquebecois Armed Forces. "We've convened on this session on the validity of their claim to the Ezic Peninsula. The truth of the matter is..." pausing, catching his breath. "We have Franquebecois in Franquebecois Ezic, Talamh Dair has Talamh Dairians in Talamh Dairian Ezic. It is a fundamental strategic position, of which we need to protect our citizens in."
"Therefore, Mister Speaker, in representing the nation's interests, we ask that the self-proclaimed ENLA be recognized as an attempt at a coup d'état." The Liberals, which formed a majority government in the election of 1981, almost completely vote in favour of recognizing the ENLA as an insurgent uprising. The New Democratic Party however, generally voted against this, claiming that Ezic belongs to a republic, not foreign aggression.
After the session of parliament, the Prime Minister announced a plan of action.
"We are working together with President Kelly and the Republic of Ezic in regaining our sovereign territory." he says. "While we cannot publicize much detail over our military operations in the peninsula, we are retracting our diplomatic envoys from the region, and returning them to either Franquebecois Ezic or back to Quebec."
Franquebecois Armed Forces
Special Forces boarded on stealth helicopters and began operations on escorting diplomatic envoys within contested territory out of the warzone. Toutont extended the operation's plan towards Kelly, and has incentive to create a joint-operation of rescuing officials within the occupied and contested territory.
Kelly and Toutont begin their plan in pushing out rebels in the contested zone of both Talamh Dairian Ezic and Franquebecois Ezic before beginning an offensive in the current occupied territories. The 2nd Mechanized Division, consisting of multiple brigades including artillery, mechanized infantry, medical, and other military essentials is deployed in an increasingly militarized Franquebecois Ezic. They work together with Talamh Dairian forces in the defence of contested zones within their territory.

 The changes. The ENLA pulled troops away from the Western conflicts with Franquebec, leaving it for a rather easy victory and capture of the joint TD-FQ taskforce. The Franquebecois help liberate a small portion of Ezic Republic land and capture a notorious highranking member of the ENLA insurgency. Meanwhile the ENLA launched a major offensive in the East, capturing another majority city and the lands surrounding it to "link" up all their lands. The "Western front" (so to speak) loses a large amount of moral with the capture of the ENLA LT., but with the liberation of their second city it causes a fresh new wave of recruits to come in from the West. However, due to lack of sufficient transporation, it will take at least a a day or two more for the large amount of reinforcements to arrive. This defeat has also led to a large desertion from members of the Ezic Armed Forces, causing them to suppliment to loses with militarized police forces. |

At a recent press conference, Prime Minister Alexandre Toutont gave a statement over the troops stationed in Talamh Dairian Ezic. "We are deploying troops for the protection of Talamh Dair's solidarity and the people in the region. Were we to not involve ourselves, we would see Talamh Dairians under a militaristic and oppressive regime. We've successfully avoided this, and will continue to protect our interests and the interests of our allies."
Due to the division of troops, the Minister of National Defence following a meeting with the Prime Minister authorized the mobilization of reserve forces into Franquebecois and Talamh Dairian Ezic to compensate.
Journalists located in the exclaves of The Republic of Ezic reported troops in Franquebecois insignia operating. The Minister of National Defence later released a statement in regard to the issue: "There is already an ENLA uprising within the eastern exclave. The deployment in the western exclave is a pre-emptive measure, and is essential due to the Republic of Ezic's diminished presence in the area due to disconnection."
As troops continue to seep into Talamh Dairian Ezic in a united fight against the ENLA, Franquebec also assigns troops in an invasion of central ENLA bordering Franquebec following the capture of the lieutenant leading troops in the area. Decreased morale and disorganization in the area makes the incursion optimal. They avoid attacking the capital due to the heavy fortification in the area.
Artillery and bombers, with extra coming in following the mobilization of the reserve forces, are finally assigned roles. Reconnaissance planes flying at high altitude take pictures of the capital while infantry and armour battle elsewhere. With no clashes regarding anti-air capability, Franquebec begins precise strikes using CF-18 fighter-bombers and rocket artillery for high-value targets.

In response to the sudden outbreak, Cubonian Paratroopers have begun training exercises that are estimated to last around two-3 weeks in order to be bettered prepared and trained to combat the insurgency, before they're dropped into the region in order to combat the sudden seizure of Cubonian businesses, and support their allied state of Ezic.  Meanwhile, the 4th Fleet stationed in southern Cubonia having remained there during the Walff Crisis, has begun mobilizing. The 2nd Marine Division will be conducting Month and a half long training in response to the ENLA, hoping to be better prepared to combat them in time should the force grow too strong.  |

 The current political situation. The first Franquebec major victory in West came as a huge shock to the ENLA forces who thought that they had established themselves in that region. The victory then welcomed the fast moving offensive by Franquebec and Ezic forces who took back large amount of territories in central Ezic and they managed to repel every trace of ENLA in Franquebec-held Ezic. However, things were not as successful in the Eastern and Northern regions of the nations, as once again the Ezic and Talamh Dair forces take heavy casualties and ultimately lose multiple battles, giving up more land to the ENLA as they fell back into friendly territory. However, things were not all grim and lost as pro-"loyalist" and pro-Talamh Dair rebels rose against the oppressive provisonal communist regime to fight back the "occupation." Due to the lack of preparedness and how much the ENLA were spread thing, the rebels enjoyed early success.  ENLA forces in Northern Ezic.  Pro-Talamh Dair insurgent firing on ENLA militants. The United Kingdom of Franquebec and Talamh Dair

Franquebec Armed Forces
Following the union between Franquebec and Talamh Dair, Talamh Dair's military has been absorbed into Franquebec's command chain. While this will likely lead to disorganization for a short period of time, Franquebec can now coordinate without diplomatic red tape.
Franquebec continues the incursion of Republic of Ezic exclaves in between Franquebec and ex-Talamh Dair despite media criticism. Franquebecois troops are generally lightly reinforced, with little need of air support and artillery, and capitalizing on infantry and armour to fortify the exclaves.
Defeat in Northern Ezic, and now Franquebecois territory, causes a coordinated strike against the occupied territory bordering Western and Northern Ezic. Artillery and air support is halved from strikes against the capital to invoke a combined arms approach against the occupiers, with reconnaissance planes confirming non-civilian targets. Some reports reach media regarding unwanted civilian deaths in the raid into occupied Northern Ezic, but the Prime Minister does not address them.
Reserves continue to deploy to fortify Western and Northern Ezic.
Summary
Franquebec attempts to/has...
1. Franquebec absorbs Northern Ezic to form Franquebecois Ezic.
2. (minor? major?) disorganization within Talamh Dair absorbed military following absorption into Franquebec's command.
3. Light incursion into exclaves of Republic of Ezic to fortify.
4. Combined arms assault into occupied Northern Ezic. Artillery and air strikes in capital of ENLA is diverted to support the assault.
5. Reserves (continue? start to?) deploy in Franquebec into defensive positions.

Cubonian Paratroopers arrived at 3:00am today, landing in the Capitol of Ezic, before dividing into smaller companies and heading into the surrounding areas, moving to defend local workers and locate and rescue Cubonians who had been captured or were in high security zones. However, Brigadier General William Montu is unwilling to advance into the main conflict in order to avoid spreading his troops thin. His patrols and actions focus primarily on protecting the Cubonians in the region and the local native workers, holding back from expanding into the conflict. Soldiers of FortuneThe Walff Industrial Economic Zone goes silent and locks down completely during the first hours of conflict, for several days no one is seen entering or leaving. Late on the fifth day the Walff PMC group Schwarzes Wasser arrives and begins securing the outer compound. Reservists who had been hiding deep inside the facility begin to make their way out to meet the mercenaries and eventually a chain of command is established, both groups secure the compound and begin to let in employees after a thorough screening and search. The WIEZ becomes somewhat of a make-shift refugee area for the loyal employees of the companies stationed there and their families. The occasional transport plane or helicopter manages to drop a few supplies to the stranded souls but they make due with what they have. Meanwhile the four remaining mercenary groups focus on regrouping in the capital and eliminating any rebels that get in their way.  Walff Mercenary fighter defends the WIEZ from a rebellion-affiliated attack.  Mercenary sets up an emplacement.
