The Group of Eight
Current Regulations
War Crimes & International Law
Refer to United Nations list of international violations and war crimes, the G8 has agreed to adopt these as international violations.
The Group of Eight, abbreviated as the G8, is an organization of developed nations who meet in a selected host's capital weekly for informal discussions on current global issues. The current host selects this week's agenda, of which member nations will discuss to suggest two resolutions. One resolution can be mandatory, as all nations in the G8 will be required to ratify the suggested solutions to a certain problem. Another resolution can be a recommended course of action, where the G8 has selected a certain solution that member nations are suggested to follow. For example, it may be mandatory to condemn a certain rogue state, but it may only be a recommended course of action to send troops to combat the rogue state. Member nations will generally send their head of government along with any ministers or other advisory as necessary to the current G8 host to have these discussions. Observing nations may be occasionally invited to specific G8 summits to add commentary.
