The Ivlov school bombing was a terror attack against the Republic of Finlanavia that occurred in the morning hours of February 21st, 1980. 3 unidentified males of the FRF resistance, in Northern Finlanavia, infiltrated a primary school in the town, and planted several bricks of plastic explosive and shrapnel bombs. At 11:45 PM, the men exited the school, and detonated the explosives. The resulting explosion killed 35, mostly children, in the immediate classrooms, whilst the fire and smoke, along with shrapnel, injured 100 others.
At 12:10 PM, the local detachment of Republican defense forces was dispatched to the area. Establishing checkpoints and a trauma center near the school, the defense forces assisted the local Ivlov emergency services with first aid and finding the dead.
On February 22nd, in the early hours of the morning, a specialized force of Republican commandos raided several apartments, and captured the three bombers. They also seized a crate of AK style weapons and handguns, several pounds of plastic explosives, a map of locations to bomb, coils of wire, and jars full of nails and metal scraps.
As a result, the Republic of Instanvania sent a handful of specialized troops to the nation, to assist with the defense and protect their own embassy. The 3 bombers are held by the Republic of Finlanavia at this time.
