The Fennoscandanavian Civil War was a three month conflict, taking place in modern day Finlanavia. Stretching from 1979 to 1980, the Civil War was fought on the principles that the previous Fennoscandanavian government, the FRF, was tyrannical. Evidence suggests that the FRF were commiting ethnic cleansing, and casualties from the war number from 10,000 - 25,000 dead.
After the war, the USSNF took power - United Socialist States of New Fennoscandanavia. After a month of unpopularity and sanctions, the USSNF government stepped down, allowing the Republican government under Republic leader Motor, to take power. They changed the Finlanavian flag, and renamed the nation The Republic of Finlanavia.
