With both sides coming to a stalemate, the Northern Regime now solidified its control of the Northern section of the region. Finlanavia, unwilling to give in to this and loose their northern regions, forcibly pushed a new offensive, taking money from their Economic plan and placing it back into the Military, they began their assualt onto the Border, both sides digging in as they both solidified defenses. Brutal and horrifying skirmishes began to take place, the ferocity of the war making either side uneasy. As of now the situation rests as is.

Republic of Finlanavia
The first military operations against the FRF terrorists have begun.
The 3rd, 4th and 5th divisions of infantry, coupled with several divisions of artillery and armor began their push into FRF held territory. They quickly establish command points, taking more and more territory. By keeping their supply lines secure, and their men rested, the Finlanavian military hopes to advance further soon.
In the streets of Ivlov, a city previously contested, the residents welcomed their liberators with open arms. Ivlov was also the city where the FRF bombed a local school, which killed 35 and injured 100 others.
Federal Republic of Fennoscandinavia
Due to the Finlanavians failure to mobilize in time, the Fennoscandinavians have dug in fairly hard to their controlled lands -- hidden AA emplacements lined along the borders, making air insertion fairly difficult.
The Fennoscandinavian "soldiers" have managed to turn themselves into a cunning and formidable foe with the help of their cunning diplomatic relations, with even the Emporer of Cubonia himself recognizing the Federal Republic, along with a multitude of other foreign nations such as Franquebec and co., and even the Talamh Dairians being accused of opening up their borders to the Federal Republic and allowing training camps to be placed on her soil.
The Fennoscandinavian military equipment was fairly onpar, if not better, than the Finlanvians - being armed with mostly last generation rifles such as the TD-47 (a custom made Talamh Dairian rifle. Think AK47) and the CR-7 (a Cubonian made rifle that was only recently put out of service. Think FN-FAL) - they have several military vehicles too, which include things such as tanks and forms of mechanized infantry.
The Fennoscandinavians' biggest advantage, however, is their air force. The most modern part of their military - the air corps has a multitude of modern helicopters and planes that have mostly been used in skirmishes into Finlanavian controlled territory.
The Federal Republic recently got a small boost to their manpower with small foreign legions pouring into the country, as well as mercenary groups.
The stage was set for a bloody war.
Republic of Finlanavia
The Finlanavians are dug in, prepping for a long and bloody war. Similar to World War I, the Finlanavians have constructed temporary defenses in their territory they have taken, emplacing AA and AAA in these areas. Artillery is emplaced, along with several lines of infantry, fit for a slow advance into the FRF's lands. Several times a week, small, fast, elite convoys of Finlanavian light vehicles perform recon missions into FRF territory, gathering as much intelligence as they can.
Federal Republic of Fennoscandinavia
Unfortunately for the Finlanavians convoys, they didn't make it very far into Fennoscandinavian land - most of the convoys either being ambushed in guerilla style fashion or - this wasn't hard for the Fennoscandinavian troops, already being a militarized and therefore "ready" state whom had utilized the IEDs and mines that were planted all over roadways, making the are a defacto DMZ.
Few Finlanavian recon troops rarely made it out of enemy territory - and when they did they had terrifying stories. Most of the stories went something like;
"Things were going well, we were making considerable gains into enemy positions. Then.. a terrifying shreek, then an explosion. I don't remember what happened to the rest, I ran." - most of which had a terrible impact on morale of the soldiers whom were dug in on the Finlanavian side of the border.
In response to the failed Finlanavian recon mission, they were met with a burst of mortar fire on the Finlanavian positions (which were clearly visible, them being a conventional military so close to the defacto border) - inflicting even further casualties, which damaged morale even more.
The United Kingdom of Gladitoria National News Service
The violent reaction to the new Fennodesian state has created uproar in Gladitoria. The Gladitorian High King Dominitius has asked and been granted the right to declare war by almost unanimous decision by the Gladitorian senate.
As the declaration the Gladitorian government has dispatched the IX Army Corp under command of Field Marshal Flavius assisted by the Gladitorian Legio XIII which are being organized and expected to be en route to the continent within the next week or two.
Republic of Finlanavia
The Finlanavians decide to dig in, making their defenses even stronger. They brace against the mortar attacks, keeping constant watch for further bombardments.
They also reinforce their supply lines, using the safest, easiest routes. In one such mission, a convoy captures 3 FRF terrorists. In revenge for their friend's deaths, the convoy takes the three men prisoner, brutally interrogating them for intelligence.
Once they get their intelligence from the prisoners, they are executed.
The Finlanavian's also adopt further guerilla style tactics to stay safer, including further camoflauging their lines and vehicles, and sending specialized commando units to damage FRF lines.
