Istanvania reply

Istanvanian Front:

Fighting drew to a close towards the end of the week, outside of some checkpoint conflicts and skirmishes along the newly built borders for both sides, it seems that neither side was really willing to commit. Istanvanian forces reached the contested line, and both sides began to construct reinforcements as supplies poured into the Chernov front, and the rest of the nations armed forces poured into the Istanvanian Front. Iranistanian reinforcements arrived, and began conducting special warfare operations, however while at first this worked in slowing down and sabotaging the newly formed Chern supply lines, they quickly changed their strategy, forcing ID checks on any soldier entering or leaving the checkpoints.

Talamh Rangers arrived by Cargo Planes, and have begun conducting minor operations in unknown areas of Chernovorsk after having snuck into the country to create discourse.

Chernov's blatant genocide and clear insanity has begun to create discourse among it's people, however the problem has not grown to be significant enough for the government to take full notice. Their blatant human rights violations and extermination of Istanvanian people has caused it to be isolated and condemned.

Slav Front:

The Air raids were for the most part successful, flying outside of the major areas with heavy AA concentration, the Slavic fighters were for the most part able to successful combat the Cherno aircraft, which couldn't keep up with the Slavic fighters. Citizens in the Rural Areas were either forced across the border, or went to the Urban areas for better protection, causing a small refugee crisis in the Northern Border. The Cherno missile strikes were very effective however, hitting some vital points in the Slav Fighters disabling several runways.
Meanwhile the artillery fire continued, both sides shelling each other day and night. Very few casualties occurred on either side, but the effect of the constant shelling was evident for both sides of the opposing armies as the non-stop explosions and shock waves affected the morale of the men.

Event - Formation and mobilization of Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Winter Storm

Conferences held in the Khartumian capital city of Bel'atosh have lead to the establishment of a joint task force through which to organize the forces of the Khartumian Empire, the Empire of Walff, the United Kingdom of Gladitoria, and the Frankish Republics to secure what they see as their mutual sphere of influence - the southeast - and rid the world of the threat of the aggressor state of Chernovrosk. Operation Winter Storm is the current agreed name for the combined intervention in Chernovrosk. WINTER STORM is intended to summarize the intent of the joint task force, to "storm" Chernovrosk before winter's end.



CJTF-OWS has begun the process of mobilizing its forces, with Walff, the Frankish Republics and Gladitoria embarking their naval vessels to transport large sections of their military south to Istanvania, where Walff and Gladitoria will prepare their assault with the support of Frankish logistics, artillery, and air. The Khartumian Empire, in turn, is mobilizing its forces just south of its border to prepare to cross north.

Border Access Negotiations

After Talamh Dair successfully forced the entirety of WEST into recognizing the involvement of other powers and permitting the access of CJTF-OWS forces in their territories, forces from Walff, Gladitoria and the Frankish Republics have begun to depart from their home ports, bound for the shores of Istanvania. Elements of the Frankish logistical arm have already arrived in Istanvania ahead of the main force to establish supply lines.  

Certain elements of the Gladitorian military, including the Legion XIII, have begun flying personnel and equipment over to the Khartumian Empire. A large chunk have mobilized near Ezic, and have begun marching down through Ezic towards Istanvania. 

The Imperial Expeditionary Force of Khartum has been fully mobilized, now approaching the nation's northern border with Iranistan, where the logistics arm of the IEF has already begun securing routes to allow the heavily mechanized force to proceed unhindered. From airbases in its northern reaches, the Imperial Air Force has begun to attempt to conduct strikes on the Chernovroski, primarily targeting the Chernovroski airfields, oil fields, and logistics. 

Under cover of the initial bombings, members of the Khartumian 71st Imperial Highland Fusiliers, an elite unit under the Khartumian Imperial Special Operations Command, performed High Altitude Low Opening (HALO) jumps just past the border in small numbers.    

The Coalition

The combined armies and firepower of Istanvania and Iranistania now joined together, it was time to enact Operation: Watch Tower. Since Cherno had exhausted their supply of ballistic missiles, the Coalition, with help of a spy network, targeted the production centers directly, and fired off immediately. With a massive force holding the line, they'd begin to enact Blitzkrieg warfare; shelling out the enemy and carpet bombing them, sectioning off entire parts of Cherno army that was boxed in, pushing forwards using the tactics of the Germans, shell, bomb, push.

The R.F.A.F. breaks away from the naval incursion and begins land and aerial assaults against Chernovrosk, having moved inside the Istanvania-Chernovrosk border. As reconnaissance planes and long-range submarines are called away from the battle, missile cruisers and CF-18 bombers replace them. Franquebec begins battering the Chernovrosk front with ballistic missiles launched from the cruisers stationed by the Istanvanian coast, clearing up hotspots revealed by reconnaissance and infantry engagements. CF-18 bombers provide support to the R.F.A.F. launched from Istanvanian and Slav Figtherian air bases.

Mechanized infantry forces hop off their vehicles and begin moving on their feet. They join the Istanvanians in their defence against Chernovrosk, using weaponry manufactured from the local arms industry boom following the war against Ezic. They're accompanied by M101 howitzers and 81mm mortars for recurring blasts that are joined by the missile barrage and bombardments, with intent to kill off large swaths of the enemy before sending in foot soldiers. The first goal is pushing them back to the Chernovrosk homeland.
